i was there at convergence 13 too bad i didnt get to run into you to talk w/you. that would of been a great time im sure, yes it is sad to see how most of it is fashion or how most people have forgotten or if not forgotten let it fall to the side, that the culture was more from atleast what i get a new romantic that could either be the deathrocker look or the victorian and some times deathpunk. and about the amazing music being made by deathrock bands but now a day's it seems its mostly about ebm and danceable music which is fine dont get me wrong i love it too, but it seems most dont want to listen to or play GOTH music that be deathrock, ambient, folk and things of that nature which is what i would listen to and play if i had a club night and or djed sorry its not always about what the crowed wants if its something the dj is known for playing why play what only the crowed wants if its suppose to be a goth night or has alot of goth people then play it.but alas its not about the classic as much as it used to be maybe it wil get a revival.
i sure as hell would love to see gothwave, deathrock, ambient, ethreal, folk goth music come back into swing and make people just go wow.

I have a copy of your book goth craft and i must say that it has helped me a great deal in finding out who and what i am. It has also shown me that what i do and how i decide to decorate myself is completly okay. I've read it a few times and then lent it to a dear friend of mine. I find myself being the forerunner of this movement in my town. I was the first one to dress that way and ever since then all of my friends have followed suit, but out of their own free will. People come to me for help and advice and that fills me with glee and a feeling of purpose. I owe it all to you and your book. You helped me find my way and others with their path. I plan to purchase your next book and share that knowledge with my friends.
I thank you with the greatest sincerity and gratitude. You helped me find myself.

This is the first time i've ever tried to leave a comment for someone as popular as you to read, so i'm going to try to keep it short. Anyways, I've read your book goth craft a couple of times and it has helped me find out alot of things. Who i am, what i am, and that its okay to decorate myself the way i want and to hell with anyone that can't see me for me. I am the forerunner for alot of my friends at my school. I showed them not to be afraid, to be themselves. I also lent them my book in hopes they would find their path in life. I thank you with the greatest of sincerity and gratitude, as do my friends. I am able to be comfortable with myself and the things i do. And people are coming to me for help and advice and that fills me with glee and a feeling of purpose. And its all because of your book. I plan to purchase your new book and sharing the knowledge i obtain from it.

Hey Raven,

Well certainly sounds like you had lots of fun despite the downsides of things..ie travel discomfort etc etc...

Finding a place that has a positive Pagan, even though I'm not Goth that would be cool too, would be Awesome.
Maybe we should all pitch in and create our own city!!! Pagan Town USA ??? lol

Hope you find what you are searching for. As for me I have lived in the big cities and the small towns, you find the same problems in both. Cities are nice for variety but I personally like the small community life, even if there aren't many pagans where we are. We make do.

Best of luck and Blessings Always,

Well I'm glad it was fun at least. I can understand the downsides, which you mentioned. I'm in the same frame of mind about city life. On the one hand it's nice to have -variety- but a high conglomeration of people is never a good thing either. I hope you find a good place to move (and I hope we do as well >.>).
